Psycho-Social Support

We recognise a person’s psychological and sociological aspects, which incorporate internal, emotional and thought processes, feelings, and reactions. We also note the social dimension, which combines relationships, family, community network, social values and cultural practices. Our Psychosocial relief initiatives facilitate the maintenance of a continuum of community-based care and support. We have a wide range of psychosocial initiatives, including support for caregivers and community members. We also provide care and support through our specialised psychological and social services.

Our psychosocial focus on community-based approaches enhances resilience interventions which are directed at addressing issues and needs holistically. We also offer psychosocial support programs for ex-offenders. These programs seek to rehabilitate, reintegrate, reunite and reunify. The Psychosocial support for ex-offenders is a long transition process from imprisonment into mainstream society. In this process, offenders adjust to the outside world in the aftermath of their release and get to live a life that is free from crime.
